Keyword Search is a very useful tool for both buyer and seller.
Keyword search searches both item title and description for keywords as new items are listed.
Members can effectively create their own electronic "wants" list using keywords or catalgue numbers. If an item is listed that features any members key words in either title or description, the member is automatically sent an email notifying that an item meeting their keyword criteria has been listed. This email contains a link direct to the item listed. This is a very efficient and effective method of ensuring that you do not miss any of the elusive items of interest without the need to spend valuable time constantly visiting the site and scrolling through pages of items of little interest in the hope of finding an item you require.
To maximise the potential for "Keyword Search" to direct customers to their listings sellers may want to consider listing items for shorter durations e.g 5 or 7 days and then activate the free automatic relisting feature (can be set to relist up to 10 times). Because the "Keyword Search" searches newly listed items, using the method outlined will expose your items to "Keyword searches" created by members after you originally listed the item every few days.
